Spring/Summer is on it's way and I am going to try to add some color into my life. When I open my closet I think of death but I don't think I could ever stay away from the color black. I am very much into the nude/beige, white and blues. So I hope to find some nice outfits with those colors. Here are a few pictures with the Rodarte for Target crepe dress. The bows are super cute and the fit is perfect. As for the coat it is just amazing. Anyways, over the weekend I ordered some new shoes (clogs) and I can't wait till they arrive in the mail.

mission fancy
(jacket: zara; top: j crew; skirt: h&m; boots: miss sixty; bag: zara)
We took a spontaneous trip to the San Juan Capistrano Mission. The highlight today was wearing my Miss Sixty boots (which are so comfortable) to parade around this historic California, landmark. It's all about the rugged, adobe style buildings and showcasing these classic doorways with a contemporary fashion twist. I love the juxtaposition of old world style and new world fashion.

velvet light show
Today I finally wore this beautiful velvet dress I bought from nastygal. I love everything about this dress the velvet, color, print, cut, and the pockets. The rainy day weather kept us indoors so these pictures were taken in our home. It was actually a lot fun and a bit different than our usual nature scenery. We broke out the projector and projected some of Derrick's artwork. The whole objective of this was to use different lighting methods to capture the velvet dress and all it's glory.
Before all this, I had an amazing and delicious lunch with the beautiful Jill at Thai Nakorn in Garden Grove. I am so glad we finally got together again and it was much needed. xoxo

rodarte canyon
Today I am wearing this adorable dress from the Rodarte for Target collection. I have got a few other pieces from the collection and will post them later. The lace and bow details are what caught my eye and the fit is amazing. This dress is actually my favorite out of the whole collection. Also, these JC shoes are so wonderful and I can't seem to keep them off of my feet.
Anyways, the family and I took a little trip to the Carbon Canyon Regional Park. This park is so beautiful and I really wish I brought my dr. martens to hike on the trails.

shredder.....
(cardigan: from nastygal; leggings: forever 21; sunglasses: ray ban)
Today was a very laid back day and didn't get into much and hopefully tonight I will get to relax and watch This is England. I had bought this cardigan from NastyGal a while ago and finally wore it today. I am really bummed out that one of the shreds came undone so quickly and left a huge hole. But that doesn't matter anyway it still looks good. The velvet leggings are an obsession of mine and I have bought them in three different colors and I am still on the lookout for more velvet.
